I woke up and ran outside Forgetting about the tears that I'd cried It was a new day; not as dark as night I wanted to take the bad and make it right I saw a little kid on the street Homeless, and on his bones was barely any meat I ran up to him And saw that he was holding an empty tin I kneeled down Down down down to the ground I reached out and gave him a hug And he smiled, forgetting all the pain he had to lug As I walked to school, I realized, compared to the earth, we all are bugs But maybe all we need is a hug
